Inner Fog

Fog covered much of the river this fall morning. The forecast was for a sunny day, so I knew the fog would lift soon.

Sometimes, I give the mental fog or upset I experience time, and it lifts on its own; but other times, I need to take a more active role. Going for a jog, taking a nap, doing something fun, or thinking through the problem alone or with a friend or therapist may do the trick.

What tools are in your kitbag when facing an inner fog? Are some more reliable than others? How do you judge whether the fog will lift on its own or whether you need to take an active role?

Send your ideas to Ron@biggerhearted.com with ‘fog’ in the subject line.

I’ll post your comments next week and add further thoughts.
